Daniel Jara

Daniel Jara founded HomeStart Capital Llc in 2007 after working for two different mortgage brokers in the Houston area. Understanding that knowledge, availability, service, honesty and hard work are what clients truly value, Daniel has made those values his hallmark. Daniel truly takes his role as a mortgage broker to heart. When not working his client’s financing, he is constantly honing his understanding of financing options, title insurance issues, real estate contracts, etc by attending continuing education courses and self-education in all areas affecting real estate. He understands that the ever changing landscape of mortgage lending can be confusing and wants to be able to effectively provide solutions. He truly believes in providing his clients education, and solutions and not just an interest rate. With greater knowledge clients can remove any ambiguity, increase understanding of the process and leverage Daniel’s knowledge for their own benefit. A mortgage is much more than a means to end; it is truly a financial tool.

Daniel makes himself available at all times because he believes his clients deserve his best effort. Daniel ensures his clients are well informed and feel comfortable prior to commencing any transaction. Daniel continues his dedication to his clients during the transaction discussing issues as complicated as escrow holdbacks or assuring his client’s concerns are addressed in a timely manner. Even after the transaction has closed, Daniel still happily receives calls from his past clients to discuss any post-close questions.

Daniel earned his BBA in finance from the University of Texas at Austin in ’98 while under scholarship. He went on to work with a large accounting firm in Dallas valuing closely-held companies. Thereafter, he went onto work with a privately held hedge fund in Dallas, as a portfolio analyst. Daniel, a son of Colombian parents, is bi-lingual and speaks Spanish fluently. He has been in Houston since 1981 and is proud to call
this great city his home for more than 25yrs.
